Our Athlete of the week this week is Aubrey Wright. Aubrey is a senior at Allatoona High School and has been playing soccer since she was five years old. “Aubrey is a great leader on and off the field,” said Assistant Coach Megan Kurth. “I’m very vocal, a leader on the field, and I work hard in games and practice to get our team to be the best we can,” Aubrey says. Her favorite memory while playing soccer at Allatoona is “sophomore year against Whitewater when I scored my first goal, and I had to play in goal and made two saves in the same game.” Aubrey’s plans after high school are to attend Kennesaw State University and become a physical therapist. Her advice to younger players is to “always work hard because the hard work will get you to where you want to be and to be a team player.”
