Amie Howard is a native of Jacksonville, Alabama and a graduate of Pleasant Valley High School. She received her undergraduate degree in Communications from Jacksonville State University where she was a four-year letter winner in volleyball. In addition, she holds a master’s degree in administration from Jacksonville State University and a Specialist Degree in School Leadership from Kennesaw State University. She has worked in public education for 16 years after a brief career in the communications field.

Amie Howard began her teaching career at East Paulding High School where she taught special education, English, and served as head volleyball coach. She then moved to Allatoona High School when it opened to serve as an English teacher and start the volleyball program. She has served as the athletic director for the past four years while serving as an assistant principal for the past seven. She is married to John Howard of Lafayette, Georgia who also serves as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Woodland High School. They have three wonderful sons, Rhett a freshman at Allatoona, Grant a 5th grader at Pickett’s Mill, and Rhys, their 3-year-old angel in Heaven.
