Derek Sobczak, MAT, ATC, LAT is the Allatoona Bucs’ Certified Head Athletic Trainer and has been with Allatoona since the 2012-2013 school year. Derek is originally from Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Mercyhurst University with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training in 2010. Derek went to the University of Georgia, and graduated with his Master’s in Education. Currently, Derek is also the Healthcare Science Pathway teacher at Allatoona and continues to work with our athletic programs every day after school.
