Bucs Flag Football has named their Athlete of the Week, Sam Beck. Coach Jordan Davis has to say about Sam, “Sam has been in our program since our first season, and her experience and leadership as a senior is so valuable. She has a tremendous ability to make an impact on both sides of the ball, and the level of intensity that she plays with really spreads to the rest of the team.” Sam is a dual athlete here in Allatoona and is planning to play softball in college. If she did not play softball, she said she would definitely play flag football in college. She is a hard worker and puts in all her effort to perform well every day. She was one of the first students to play flag football at Allatoona her sophomore year. They went to the Final Four and State her sophomore and junior years, and they are already defeating undefeated teams to go to State this year. Some advice for younger athletes from Sam is, “Work hard for what you dream for, and do not quit.” It takes a lot of work and effort to get to a certain skill level, and practice is what it takes. Keep working hard, Sam, and congratulations on Athlete of the Week.
