Coach Smith is a Memphis, Tennessee, native and graduate of Hillcrest High school where he was a four-year varsity football player and track runner. Coach Smith moved to Acworth from Tennessee in 2021 with his wife (Christian) and their three children Karmen(14), Malikai(8), and Madelyn(6). After graduating high school, he attended Tusculum College in Greenville, TN, where he played his first year of college football at the Running Back position. Coach Smith later played Division 1 football at Tennessee State University where he also studied Human Performance and Sports Science. He eventually transferred to Middle Tennessee State University where he changed his major and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. 

While this is Coach Smith’s first year with the Bucs football program, he brings a great amount of playing and coaching experience to Allatoona. He brings 23 years of Running Back playing experience, 12 years of varsity football coaching experience, and 10 years of varsity Track and Field coaching experience including one year with Allatoona Track and Field. 

One of Coach Smith’s favorite quotes comes from Albert Pike: “What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.” It is with this thought that Coach Smith strives to make an impact on his athletes everyday to help mold not only great athletes but great Men in society!
