Our Athlete of the Week this week is O\u2019Niece Roberts. O\u2019Neice is a senior at Allatoona and has played on the varsity volleyball team for the past two years. \u201cO\u2019Neice has accepted playing a different role this year\u201d, says Coach Joe Soley. \u201cShe plays hard and is a great leader on and off the court.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
O\u2019Neice says she tries \u201cto encourage the team to put their all on the court no matter who we are playing.\u201d O\u2019Neice has been playing volleyball since the third grade and plans to go to college to play volleyball, participate in track and field, and major in forensic science and behavioral analysis. O\u2019Neice\u2019s advice to younger players is, \u201cDon’t plan to win, just plan to play. Have fun with every point regardless of what the score is or whoever is on the court.
