The Lady Bucs volleyball team started their season on August 12th and have been on fire since, coming out with a seven-win game streak. These girls have been working hard on and off the court since the beginning of summer, and you can see it pay off while they work together to overcome adversity. On Thursday, August 19th, our Lady Bucs fought against crosstown rival, Harrison, to come out of the match, winning both sets 26-24 and 25-22. When asked about her final season as a Buccaneer, senior Cayla Kalinowski says, “Allatoona volleyball is not just a team, they are family” and “I’m most excited (to)…[see] my team grow from all of our hard work and where our career takes us.” Gracie Pynes, Junior and three-year varsity player, says that her favorite memory on this team was “winning state [her] freshman year.” The senior class of 2022 on this team had the opportunity to make a state appearance twice in a row, placing runner-up in 2018 and winning the ring in 2019. With the girls already 7-0 this season, you can watch for more wins in the calendar along with an appearance in the post-season. Their next home match will take place on Thursday, September 23rd, at 5:00 pm versus Pace Academy. Tickets are being sold on GoFan, or you can get in free with a Buc Pass. Come out and show your support for our Lady Bucs as they start their season on the right track.
