Robyn Cathey has been coaching middle school and high school cheerleading for 25 years. She has coached allstar teams for 19 years, with 16 of those years being at The Stingray Allstars. She attended both Georgia Southern University and Georgia State University, majoring in Political Science. In high school, she competed in Sideline and Competitive Cheerleading.

Coach Cathey has been married to her husband Jay for 20 years, and they have three children:  Aidan, age 18, a freshman at Jacksonville State University; Piper, age 12, in 7th grade at Durham Middle School; and Nolan, age ten, in 5th grade at Frey Elementary School. She says, “I am inspired by many different coaches from many different sports. I strive to model kindness and acceptance while setting a standard for excellence and effort at all times. I look up to many coaches that lead with that mindset. Above all, I try to model my behavior and my heart after my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” Coach Cathey draws inspiration from Proverbs 31:25 which states: “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
