POSITION: HEAD BOYS COACH
COLLEGE: ALLATOONA
HIGH SCHOOL: KENNESAW STATE

Coach Raef Williams has a B.A. in English/Film Broadcasting from Georgia Southern University and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education English and New Media from Vanderbilt University. He has been teaching for ten years and coaching for two years. In high school, Coach Williams competed in basketball and baseball, and he competed in intramural tennis in college. Coach Williams has been recognized as an Honorary Buc and is a four-time Emmy Nominee for NATAS.

Coach Williams has been married for eleven years to his beautiful wife and best friend, Allison, who is an gifted teacher at Nickajack Elementary School. They have two children, Josiah (9) and Vasser (7). Josiah and Vasser are involved in baseball and football and attend Due West Elementary School. In their free time, they enjoy spending their Saturdays watching their boys play baseball at Oregon Park, hiking, traveling, and photography/videography. Coach Williams draws strength from his relationship with God, and he finds inspiration from Yoda, who said, “Do or do not. There is no try.”

Coach Williams loves fostering “team tennis” – since high school and college is the only time athletes really experience tennis as a true team sport. He enjoys seeing his young athletes grow closer together as a family as they continue to strive to be their best – on the courts, and off.
