Lindsay Kovalsky has been coaching cheerleading in Cobb County for the last 13 years and is entering her ninth year coaching cheerleading at Allatoona. Coach Kovalsky graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, American College of Education in 2011 with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and Lincoln Memorial University in 2013 with a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has been named an Honorary Buc, a Senior Favorite Teacher, a Lacrosse Favorite Teacher, and a Softball Superhero.
Coach Kovalsky has been married for 12 years to her husband, Michael, who is a Cobb County fire fighter. They have two beautiful children, Smith, 9, and Sloan, 8. Coach Kovalsky considers her mother and her seventh-grade math teacher, Dana Meyers, to be her mentors, and she draws inspiration from the quotation, “Always try to leave people better than you found them. Hug the hurt. Kiss the broken. Befriend the lost. Love the lonely. (Unknown).”
