Coach Longacre has a Bachelors in Special Education from Point University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and this is his second year teaching and coaching. During his first football season at Allatoona, Coach Longacre was recognized by Georgia FootballScoop’s 30 under 30 in May 2023. During his first wrestling season at Allatoona, Coach Longacre assisted in coaching one state finalist. In high school, Coach Longacre competed in football, wrestling, and lacrosse, and he continued to compete in football in college. He was a four-year collegiate starter on the offensive line, a two-time Academic All-American, three-time Academic All-Conference, 1st Team Mid-South Conference offensive lineman, 2022 Mid South Conference Champions of Character Award Winner, and an Offensive Rising Star as a freshman at Point University. Prior to that, at North Cobb, he was a two-year varsity starter, was 1st Team All Region, and 2nd Team All County his senior year in football. He was a four-year varsity wrestler, a state qualifier senior year, and a two-time region placer. He was a varsity letterman in lacrosse as a freshman.

Coach Longacre is the son of Marlon and Libby Longacre, and he has two brothers, Todd and Matthew, and one niece, Emma Grace. On Friday nights, you will find Matthew at every Allatoona football game cheering on the Bucs. As mentors, he looks up to his high school offensive coordinator Tom Clark and his offensive line coach Robert Ingram, and they inspired him to get into teaching and coaching. He finds inspiration from Lou Holtz, who said: “If you’re bored with life – you don’t get up every morning with a burning desire to do things – you don’t have enough goals.”
