Jaime is on the varsity girls’ basketball team here at Allatoona and is currently a junior. She has been playing basketball since she was five years old but was in the gym before she could count. She believes she was chosen for athlete of the week “because of my efforts on the court and academically in the classroom. I always push to lead and encourage my teammates to play hard and maintain a positive mindset, to keep working towards our goal as the girls’ basketball program as we can.” Coach Bouyer says, “Jaime Wooden has been a steady positive presence and proved she can bounce back after facing adversity.” After high school, Jaime plans to attend a four-year institution, play basketball at the next level, and hopefully pursue a career in nursing. Her advice for younger players is, “be your biggest competitor and trust the process.”
