Our Athlete of the week this week is Lauren Ford. Lauren is a senior at Allatoona, and along with playing soccer, she is a part of the new flag football team. “With flag football being a new program, Lauren’s experience as a varsity athlete and her leadership role as a senior has been so valuable. On the field, she is a tremendous playmaker, and as the quarterback, we rely on her to make the correct reads and really drive the offense. She is very coachable and has taken the challenge of learning a new sport really well,” says coach Jordan Davis. “I work hard and do my best at every practice and game,” says Lauren. “I chose to play flag football because it sounded fun, and starting a new program here at Allatoona would be cool.” Lauren’s advice to younger players is “to always work hard and never give up.”
