This week’s athlete of the week is cross county’s Grey Coker. Grey has been doing cross country since the fifth grade and is currently a junior at Allatoona. Coach Parsons says, “He is a silent leader that leads through example and respect that he shows his teammates and coaches.” One of Grey’s favorite cross-country memories was at state this past year. He says, “As a team, we had a great race, and it was an amazing way to end our crazy covid season.” Grey’s advice for younger players is that “It’s not about how you start but how you finish. We all start somewhere. The result is what we strive for.”
