Our Athlete of the week this week is Lindsey Slaten. Lindsey is a senior at Allatoona and has been on the Air Rifle team since her freshman year. “She is the captain of the team, senior, and does many things for the school and team.” says coach Jennifer Flanagan. “I work hard and always try to keep a positive attitude,” says Lindsey. She says her favorite memory while on the air rifle team was her freshman year when they qualified for CMP nationals and got to spend three days in Camp Perry, Ohio. After high school, she plans to continue air rifle in college. Lindsey’s advice to younger players is “Never to give up – no matter what.”
