Jonathan Wishon

Head Coach, Men’s Lacrosse

Coach Wishon has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Kennesaw State University and a Masters in Health Science from the University of Alabama.  He has been teaching for eleven years and coaching for ten.  In high school, Coach Wishon played football.  He has twice been named the Marietta Daily Journal Coach of the Year and was the 2016 U.S. Lacrosse Coach of the Year for the Georgia Chapter.

Coach Wishon is married to Sarah Wishon, and they have one daughter, Evelyn who is four.  He looks up to John Hunter as his mentor, and he finds inspiration in Michael Jordan, who said, “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.”

Dan Madish

Assistant Varsity Coach, Goalies

Coach Madish has a Bachelor of Science from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, where he played lacrosse.  Prior to that, he played lacrosse at Herndon High School in Herndon, Virginia.  Coach Madish has been coaching in the West Cobb area for over ten years.

Coach Madish is married to Stacey Madish, and they have two boys, True and Morgan.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and golfing.

Joel Morey

Assistant Varsity Coach, Defense

Coach Morey was a NCAA Division III lacrosse player for Marietta College, then he went on to play for the Washington Lacrosse Club and the New Orleans Lacrosse Club as a midfielder.  He was co-founder of the West Cobb Lacrosse League and a founding partner of Cannon Lacrosse.

Coach Morey is married to Debbie Morey, and they have two children.  Their daughter, Reagan, attends Harrison High School.  Their son, Nat, graduated from Berry College where he was an All-Conference Lacrosse midfielder.

Coach Stephanie Grove

Stephanie Grove

Head Coach, Women’s Lacrosse

Coach Grove has a Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Studio Arts from Reinhardt University. As she enters her first year of teaching at Allatoona, she is also currently working on her Masters degree in Secondary Education in Mathematics from the University of Phoenix. In high school, Coach Grove played Lacrosse at North Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia. She continued her playing time in college at Division II school, Reinhardt University. In total, she has eleven years of playing experience and five years of previous coaching experience. While playing, she contributed to a wide variety of positions on the field, but her areas of expertise were found at Midfielder and Draw Specialist. Throughout her time at Reinhardt University, she received two invitations to the US National Team and was invited to Tour in Australia last year.

Aside from school and lacrosse, Coach Grove enjoys black and white film photography, the outdoors and biking. She looks up to her mother as a mentor, and finds inspiration from Theodore Roosevelt, who said, “Great thoughts speak only to the thoughtful mind, but great actions speak to all mankind.”

Coach Xavier Smith

Xavier Smith

Head Coach, Junior Varsity Lacrosse

Coach Smith has his Bachelors degree from West Georgia College, where he was a two-year starter, team captain and All Conference in 1992 for the football team. Furthering his education, Coach Smith completed his Masters in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University. In addition to his education, Coach Smith brings over twenty-five years of coaching experience to Allatoona where he is the Outside Linebackers coach as well as the Special Teams Coordinator for the football team. Now entering his first year as the JV Head Coach for Women’s Lacrosse, Coach Smith brings intensity and maturity to the Lady Bucs Lacrosse Program.

In his free time, Coach Smith enjoys football, yard work and golf. He is married to Cynthia Smith, and they have two children: Gabriel and Caleb.

Ashley Hannan

Assistant Coach, Women’s Lacrosse

Coach Hannan will be graduating in May with her Bachelors of Science in Health and Physical Education from Kennesaw State University. Her future plans are to pursue a Masters degree in School Counseling after graduation. Coach Hannan has eight years of playing experience in the sport of basketball and obtained a Varsity letter all four years of her attendance at South Forsyth High School. Prior to student teaching at Allatoona, Coach Hannan assisted with South Forsyth’s Basketball team and is currently assisting with Allatoona’s Basketball Program. We are excited to have her transition into her first year as a lacrosse coach as she continues to student teach in Allatoona’s Physical Education department.

In her free time Coach Hannan enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and shopping. She draws her inspiration from Proverbs 16:9, a verse Coach Hannan finds clarity in during uncertain times: “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

Coach Autumn Keller

Team Coordinator, Women’s Lacrosse

Coach Keller has a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Masters in Teaching Health and Physical Education from Georgia College and State University. As she enters her first year of teaching, she also enters her first year of being a Volleyball and Basketball coach and Lacrosse team coordinator at Allatoona. Growing up, Coach Keller was a competitive gymnast for thirteen years where she competed up to level 10 at both the state and national levels. Along with club level gymnastics, Coach Keller was a high school gymnast at Forsyth Central High School, just down the road from rival Coach Grove at North Forsyth.

In her free time, Coach Keller enjoys hiking, traveling and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. She draws her inspiration from Proverbs 3:5-6, verses Coach Keller has clung to and found truth in throughout her life: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”
