Head Coach, Men’s Golf
Coach Lanier has been with Allatoona since the school opened where he served as the Head Wrestling Coach the first 8 years. His program finished in the top 5 in the state for 4 of those 8 years winning region and county multiple times with 1 state runner-up and 2 3rd place finishes. 2019 will be his first year serving as the Men’s Golf Coach. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Kennesaw State University and his Education degree from the University of Georgia. He also holds a Master’s degree in Sport Science. Coach Lanier is a 49 year resident of Acworth graduating from North Cobb High School where he and his wife LeighAnn met. They have been married for 32 years and have 2 children, Zack and Brittney, that graduated from Allatoona High School and Kennesaw State University. Coach Lanier taught English for 17 years and is now teaching Construction and Woodworking here at Allatoona.
Head Coach, Women’s Golf
Coach Tilton returns for his ninth season with the Bucs. He is currently the Offensive Coordinator for the Freshmen Football Team and also serves as the Head Women’s Golf Coach. He is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in History Education and a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology. He is the Social Studies Department Chair and teaches AP Economics here at Allatoona. Coach Tilton was a Quarterback and All-Conference Outfielder at Central Davidson High School in Lexington, North Carolina. Prior to Allatoona, he coached at The Carolina Academy in Lake City, South Carolina. His wife, Kim, is a Nurse, and they have three daughters: Meredith (age 18); Allison (age 16 who attends Allatoona); and Sara Grace (age 14 who also attends Allatoona).
