Head Cross Country Coach
Coach Parsons has a B.S. in Social Sciences from Campbell University (2004), a Master of Education from Troy University (2010), an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from GCSU (2012), and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership (2017). He has been teaching and coaching for thirteen years. Coach Parsons ran track and cross country in high school and college, and he was awarded the Cross Country Coaches Award at Campbell University from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, he was named the MDJ’s Track Coach of the Year in 2017.
Coach Parsons is married to Kelli Parsons, and they have one daughter, Savannah. Coach Parsons finds inspiration from Bill Bowerman who said, “The real purpose of running isn’t to win a race, it’s to test the limits of the human heart.”
